In The Soil

We cultivate over 900 fruit and nut trees on ten acres along the Pacific Coast—a diverse collection of fruit and nut trees that include avocado, citrus, coffee, walnut, chestnut, macadamia, passion fruit, fig, persimmon, plum, peach, nectarine, apricot, pear, apple, guava, sapote, carob, and more.

Interspersed with Mediterranean herbs and native pollinator plants, the property has become a thriving ecosystem woven together through intent and care. Between the fruit trees, rows of vegetables are grown, reflecting our commitment to regenerative and symbiotic practices. Our dairy goats are precisely grazed across the land, reducing fire risk and improving the health of the soil all while providing raw milk. Our chickens and geese manage weeds, kitchen waste, and the delicate balance of orchard health, giving fresh eggs in return.

We believe in holistic land stewardship that goes beyond farming. Our regenerative practices work in sync with nature to sustain life on this land. Minimal tilling, cover crops, and biochar strengthen the soil, while rotational grazing and deep-litter bedding keep the ground and animals in harmony. Our mission is simple: cultivate a system where soil health is a foundation for all else—strong plants, nourished livestock, and, ultimately, nutrient-rich food.

By building a healthy ecosystem today, one free of pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic inputs, we create a future that will continue to thrive, supporting all those who call this place home and those who benefit from the abundance it offers. In this work, each practice reinforces the next, part of a larger cycle that’s as steady as the tides.
